SHANGHAI, China, (August 31, 2022) Recently, the Amgen Foundation launched the Amgen Biotechnology Experience (ABE) Mainland China partnering with Tsinghua University, marking the second collaboration between the Foundation and the renowned academic and research institution. Forty-seven 世界杯直播频道 Chinese students, together with six teachers from secondary schools, were 世界杯比赛时间 selected 世界杯直播频道 to attend 世界杯直播频道 the program and partake in the “Foundations of Biotech Labs” course of ABE in Yunnan and Beijing. They will have the opportunity 世界杯比赛时间 to gain hands-on lab experience using research-grade biotechnology equipment. Since 1990, the program has expanded to 24 locations across the globe. ABE is expected to reach nearly 1,000,000 secondary school students by the 世界杯比赛时间 end of 2023.

ABE is designed to cultivate the next generation of scientists and innovators. The selected students will learn about the technology that scientists use to produce human therapeutics, gaining a better understanding of the role of biotechnology and the industry's potential impact on our collective future. The program divides real scientific experiments in the R&D laboratories of the world's top biotechnology companies and research institutions into relatively independent units and moves them to the school's laboratory with profound 世界杯比赛时间 but simple explanations, allowing students to experience the hands-on science 世界杯直播频道 and understand how it influences their daily lives.

ABE Mainland China was established in 2021. The laboratory located at Center for Laboratory Training in Life Sciences is of 世界杯直播频道 an equally high standard to the facilities and instructors of the undergraduate experimental teaching program at the Life Sciences School. ABE Mainland China offers ABE’s Foundations of Biotech Labs course, which introduces the technologies and concepts of life 世界杯直播频道 science laboratories in relation to the exploration of recombinant DNA technology. The course focuses on 6-8 experimental curriculums, including plasmid extraction, engineering bacteria transfection, selection, culture, and modern biotechnology operations for protein purification analysis.
